Hi to all and hope to learn allot from this group!! I have been reading off and on for a few months now and know there is allot of info here to find. I started the chicken thing last fall to help my two sons get into the local 4H program. We decided on Welsummers as they are something different than most people around here have. We got our chicks in October from Inside yolk in New York state.

Im not in your neck of the woods but its great to get your kids in 4-H they will learn so much from it. I had my son in for dairy goats, he loved it and we still have the goats.

You'll learn lots on here.

Thanks all. We jumped in deep in the chicken thing we have a dozen hens and five roosters at this time. All Welsummers. Cant wait to start getting our fresh eggs!!!!
