I'm not new to raising chickens... Had them for about sixteen years.
Very new to incubators and broody hens!
Hatched my first incubator in July and first silkie broody two weeks ago. Today I have one chick from broody 2... I'm loosing hope anyone else is going to hatch as she has soiled the next
I have a real mix of chickens here.... 6 silkies in with a little Cochin frizzle roo.
Three Lavender Orpingtons, Larry the rooster, Rosalie and a Violet not yet laying.
Two Brahams - not named. a Speckled Sussex named Dottie, a few Easter Eggers, I have Easter one, Easter two both given to me on Easter by my granddaughter when one of my chickens died by a fox. Olive that lays the greenest egg I ever saw. A cuckoo Maran name Celeste and I also have two mixed Maran babies, one is a wheaten mix and one is a total mystery.
I'm new here and will have to look around.
