Hi I'm new here and if you have any helpful tips about chickens that would be very nice. I have 25 Red sexlinks that are 16 weeks old and are already producing eggs.Any tips are appreciated!! Thank you!

Hi and :welcome

I have sex links as well, they are very good layers and take care of themselves pretty well.
Chickens love treats, and kitchen scraps :old

I hope you find everything you need here! :D

um btw what does it mean if their poop is runny? I am feeding too much or too little of something?

also i am wondering how you get the things that say "BYC Educator" or "BYC Spirit" or "Winner". What are those for? When you go under "my profile" what is the list thing for? what do you do with that?

You'll see all kinds of poop from your birds. I don't worry too much about it as long as I see a good quantity of solid matter in a lot of the droppings. In summer they drink a lot more, so pass a lot more liquid. You'll see pudding looking poos, vomit looking poos, solid w/white "cap," etc. As long as you're not seeing worms or blood in the stool - foam is a sign of illness too - I wouldn't overly worry about their poo.

"Winner" awards are from contests, such as coop contests and such. These contests are usually offered 2x a year. "Educator" and other titles used to be offered once a month based on recommendations from fellow BYCers, but I'm not sure if that's still the case??? I'm not sure about the "list" thing...are you talking about the list of posts you've made???
