Hi I just recently joined BYC, and I am loving the site with all the help! I have had lots of questions, and I have been given so much help. Thank you all!
My family and I are new to chickens. We wanted to have them for a while and this spring the kids just picked them some out while we were in Tractor Supply trying to buy a lawn mower. Good thing we already had a coop built a few years earlier when we first started discussing chickens. So we are learning as we go. We had to make some changes to the coop, but I think we have a good set up now. I am in the Jacksonville Florida area.

Thank you! It looks like a mix of mixed breeds. I have 4 white leghorns, a buff cochin, 2 red sex links, a black sex link, and the rest just other mixed breeds from what I have been told. I am still trying to learn how to tell breed and gender. I have actually found out yesterday on here that 2 of my red hens are in fact not hens at all, lol. So I am trying to decide what I need to do about that, because we also had another one we thought was a hen, which also turned out to be a rooster. So we have 5 roosters in all and 8 hens! We have been discussing this, but we all love them so much we haven't decided yet!
