Welcome to BYC.(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Very new. First time owners. We got them in August.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
7 - mixed flock. Keeps it interesting
(3) What breeds do you have?
Delaware, buff orpington, olive egger, easter egger, silver laced wyandotte, black copper marans, golden sexlink.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
We’re big animal lovers and live in a farming community (that is growing too fast) so chickens seemed like a good place to start
They are so fun and funny to watch and interact with. We love their individual personalities.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening, mountain biking, snowboarding (still learning... oof), and crossfit.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We have 3 dogs and 1 cat.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found BYC while searching for chicken info and have been lurking for a while. Now that our chicks are growing up I decided it would probably be a good idea!
We are Egg-cited you decided to join us because we have some Very knowledgeable peeps on here. They have the expertise and knowledge to help you. I'm still learning but, help where I can.
