Did you ever find out what the local bylaws are in Shubie? I'm in the same boat as you. Need to know since I already have 7 chicks with 8 more arriving in a few weeks. Kind of late to ask I guess but I must have assumed that since cattle graze behind my property, chickens wouldn't be a problem.....

Depending on your zoning. I called the municipality today. I'm zoned residential in the village core. If you are as well. You're in luck. If not, likely you're ok as well. The other areas are agricultural etc. Commercial.... you don't live in the school, church or other business so it doesn't matter. Looks like we're in cluck! ; Sorry, couldn't resist the pun.
