Hi...I'm new to chickens.I have 12 RIR's,and 3 ISA Browns(?)...TSC was selling them as rir's but they look totally different.They are only about 4 weeks old...still fuzzy headed,but cute to meI have 3 Barred rocks and 3 jersey giants on order...hopefully will be here by june.I have found this site to be really informative...thanks to everyone for your time in posting so much info.I'm addicted to it now....my kids are shocked I've been on the computer so much..LOL.Anyway,hi to everyone

Thanks...I was just reading some things on rir's....people scare me with their tales of aggressiveness...so far all are getting along well.They don't even pick on my browns that are a week younger.No meanness so far to humans either.They are even curious about my six cats!

Hope that turns out well...it's the three mallards I have that are 3 weeks old that pick on them!At first it was the other way around...now the ducklings are bigger...so...lol...I just monitor things and keep them in check.So far,so good.I wish I'd known earlier how much fun these little birds can be!!

I am loving my little friends...people think I'm nuts but I adore them.I would love to have more....it's the hubby who's more realistic...he says to start 21 and 3 ducks is enough!
