Hi everyone! I have been meaning to introduce myself for a couple day now.
I've been in poultry 4-h for quite a few years now. When I was 10 my mom signed me up for it and told me I had to do showmanship with a chicken. I was sooo mad she was making me show a chicken. Then she told me if I showed a chicken I could sell some turkeys at the 4-h youth auction. I no longer sell turkeys, now I have Cornish Crosses for 8 weeks then with the money I make from them, pays for my other animals for the rest of the year.
Last year I won Champion showmanship, Champion conformantion(with my Phoenix hen), Grand Champion Poultry Breed and Market.
Then I took her to State Fair and won 4-h Champion Large Fowl, Best of Breed, Champion conformation
YAY! I was so excited!
For my chickens I have two Golden Phoenix roosters, two Silver Hens, one Golden hen on a clutch of eggs, and four little week old Phoenix!
My other animals; Yearling Dun Quarter Horse Filly April(she was born April fools day).
4 year old red roan Appaloosa X Welsh pony Electra.
We have 7 ducks, only 1 is mine she is a blue something Tazlina(when she was a baby I thought she was a he, and she had the Tazmanian Devil on her back.)
And my cat, Tiny Tina(shes 4.4lbs), I've had her since she was a week old. When we found her she had fly eggs all over her, it was so sad. Her two sisters didnt make it very long
. Then when she was two years old she was hit by a car, I had called her since noon and she didnt come which was weird because she always comes. Somehow her hind legs were paralyzed. And she drug herself home and through the pet door.
It took her 6-8 months to recover.
And she has been perfectly fine since, other than freaking out when a car goes by. Her 4th birthday is in September
And thats all my animals!!
