Hi everyone! After months of using the backyard chicken website to answer my chicken questions, I decided to join the forum!
My funny farm is home to 30 some chickens, ranging from Orpingtons to Leghorns to Silkies and Frizzles, and yes, the pretty Polish girl in my pic.
I also have 4 turkeys, a pair of Standard Bronzes, and a pair of Royal Palms....I have hatched two more poults and have two more turkey eggs that are pipping as I type.
We have a pair of guineas that live with my turkeys because they beat up on all the chickens otherwise.
We also have a pair of mallards, and two white pekins....one of the pekins believe she is a chicken and lives in my hen house.
And last but not least we have a beautiful yearling pair of peacocks...still a bit shy but very sweet birds.
I'm so excited to be in a "chicken community"....most think I'm a little crazy around here for my obsession with my birds!!!
