Hello, my family and I started our chicken adventure in August of last year. What started out as just wanting food for ourselves. It now has become so much more. I sell eggs and just started incubating and hatching out my own chicks. I hatched out 16 chicks on first try. I thought I would practice with my mixed breeds and easter eggers before we have our rare pure breeds delivered in August. I want to start breeding and selling pullets and fertilized eggs. My daughter is interested in 4H, and showing the Roosters we will breed. This forum has been a big help with issues I have had. Thank you all for being a blessing.

G'Day from down under camocutey :frowWelcome and Congratulations on your hatching success! :clap

I am pleased you delurked and hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

BYC has Topic of the Week discussions which I have found to be a great resource, informative and sometimes entertaining; so definitely worth checking out.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
