Hi, I been reading BYC for a couple months now. I have learned a ton about everything poultry.
I've had 4 black silkies chicks for about a month now.. and learned to incubate and hatch 5 quail eggs so far. I'm still a newbie, but the chicken math has hit already.. On Feb 3 my daughter recieved 2 chicken eggs from grandma.. We decided to incubate them. Since we had the incubator running, I didn't want to have all that space go to waste. I found 12 Rhode island red hatching eggs on Craigslist for 6 dollars or mix variety of eggs for 4 dollars a dozen. I emailed and said I would get 1 dozen RIR eggs. She said she needed a few days to gather the eggs. I said sure and she gave me her address. She lives about 15 mins away and was taking time to gather these eggs. I though I would make it worth her time and go ahead and get a mix variety as well to make an even 10 dollars. lol Well anyways before I ramble on.. this is a great forum with great people. Thanks.
