Hello everyone and thanks for the warm welcome i am currently building my chicken/duck coop and pen so that my crew can enjoy watching me setup their garden instead of just eachother....gotta be boring in the bathroom

Chicks and ducklings generally do better separated. Ducks love to splash and make everything wet. Chicks don't like being wet and can get chilled. Ducklings grow much faster than chickens.

Im building a 6 foot tall by 5 foot long rectangular house with a ramp down into a separate unit(currently a solar water storage tank i am converting) that I'm setting a pool at the bottom with drainage for the ducks so they can go in and out but the reason im making it 6 foot tall is because my chicks are learning to "fly" so im basicly making them their own floor the Pekins cannot access so that they can separate themselves until its bedtime which they will all cuddle and be warm under the heat of the red light until i can make them a completely enclosed fenced in area
