Hi there!!!
ok we're gonna go with the template here then...
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Sorta yes, mostly no. Grew up with chickens but have been chicken free and living in the city limits for a decade. Then last year I saw an article in the paper (article/tractor supply promo) about how you can have chickens in the city limits provided they are in an enclosure that is x-number of feet away from neighboring structures. Well I took a tape out to the back yard and we have the space so Ive been begging for a coop ever since.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Bought my first 3 this morning
(3) What breeds do you have?
They were sold to me as cuckoo marans, 2 appear to be marans for sure, one looks easter egger-ish, which is just fine with me either way.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Googling for coop plans ...seriously what did we do before this???
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I sew and knit
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have 2 girls 2 and 4 who are just THRILLED with their new "chicken pets", and a husband who has been pressed into coop building duty
by day he is a computer programmer. I'm a dialysis nurse(RN). We have a cat who is certain we are trying to torment him to death with these peeping morsels.
