I've been using BYC for over a year (when I first started to plan to buy my first chicken) but I'm a newbie to the forum and actually to chicken raising. You guys helped me choose my breeds, plan my coop and run, learn all about the basics in chicken raising. You also showed me how to fix my lovely BCM's spayed legs (thanks for the rubber band and straw video!). He was one of six fertilized eggs I hatched under a broody hen (thanks also for all the information on how to do that). All six eggs hatched and the 9 week old chicks are thriving. I joined up for BYC membership because I need to rehome 2 of the chicks because they are roosters and I hoped you might have some suggestions. One is a full French BCM, no white feathers even when hatched (his hatching egg was large 61 grams & dark brown). He is from a Wade/Davis lines hen and I think the father was a show bird from a Texas ranch - Bluewater? He has mahogany around his neck and looks very solid, well built. He is very confident and holds his own with the laying flock. Pretty gentle but confident - jumps on my lap when I sit in the run. I can post pictures if anyone is interested. The second rooster is from the same BCM Texas rooster and an ameracauna hen (large light green). He looks blue and is quiet, confident and lovely.

Mainly, glad to be part of this forum and thank you all for the past help!
Sue
PS - I am new to forums also so any and all suggestions are gratefully welcome.
