Hi from southern Ontario!

Never in my life would I have thought about raising chickens, until just a few days ago. I am tired of hearing about all the food recalls lately, and it really making me want more control over where my food is coming from. My husband and 4 sons thought I was off my rocker the other day when I told them my plans to have a chicken coop in our backyard...in the city! But after talking about it over the past few days they are all coming around to the idea, and we are in the planing stages now. Over the winter we will build our chicken coop, and in the spring we will welcome 3 chickens into our family. I'm looking forward to this new adventure.
