Hi everyone!
DH and I live just south of San Antonio on 5 acres. I have 1 grown son who lives in SA and doesn't understand why anyone would ever live outside the city limits... I was lucky enough to get to reduce my hours at work and sort of semi-retire a couple of months ago, and decided to get a small flock of chickens. We used to have chickens and goats a few years ago, but at one point gave them all to a brother-in-law because they became too much work after a long day at work and a long commute into SA...I am excited about the new flock...6 of the 8 hens are just starting to lay. We are having issues with the scrawny Craigslist rooster I brought home...he only likes 4 of the hens, so right now we have 2 separate pens....I had to put the other 4 in a pen with 2 bantam Aruacana roosters (they were supposed to be hen and roo
) So...we have 8 hens and 3 roosters.
