Hi everyone! I finally talked my husband into entering the chicken world last winter. We started our adventure in February of this year with 4 chickens, 2 Orpingtons and 2 Rainbow Eggers. I fell in love!!! And had to have more. We now have 24 birds, 8 roosters and 16 Hens. Our last group is 3 and a half months old.
I have learned so much and there is so much more I need to know!
We are retired...I know, and crazy starting this late. But we are really having fun and working hard, building coops and runs and chasing chickens.
We live in Monroe, Utah, and if you have watched the news you know we currently have a huge fire burning the forest right out our back door. So on top of being new to chickens, we are worrying about possibly evacuating us, a dog, and 24 birds. What fun!!!
We are looking forward to being part of this group and gaining all the knowledge you seasoned chicken lovers know and use!
