Longtime lurker here in the SLC valley. Iv'e been putting off starting up the backyard chicken hobby/lifestyle for a couple of years but a buddy who is also a member in here kicked my butt into high gear & for the past month I have been building my first coop & hopefully I'll have it done in a week. I will enter it in the coop contest as soon as possible.
Anyways, the byc scene is pretty big here & maybe I can meet some new friends thru this site.

Hello back to you - from Utah. I'm new to this too. You're ahead of me in the coop building. Did you make it to Utah Fancy Poultry show in Farmington last weekend? It was educational. I learned (after I bought 16 chicks) that large fowl are alot LARGER than I imagined they were.
