I'm am still learning the Different breeds. My using this site I was able to figure out what most of my chickens are. One the father I'm not sure of still. But I have one Barnevelder hen, her name is Airheart. I have one Bantam, I believe a Red Breasted Rosecomb Bantam. Named Brownie, I believe a hen but not sure. I have one Brahma hen named Jasmine she's the mother off all the new (now one year old) babies.
Four roosters, and atleast four hens, mixed breed. Half Brahma half unknown.
One rooster (father of babies, one year) not with us anymore.
Not sure of his breed yet.
And one unknown hen, spazz. Not with us anymore
Jasmine, Airheart, Brownie, Father rooster, spazz we purchased as chicks and have had for over two years not sure how long exactly.
Mixed breed babies(one years) we raised from eggs, Jasmine hatched them naturally in her nest.
So unfortunately as you can see we did loose a couple so my count may be off. We also moved to Vermont from New Hampshire since. I will post pictures soon, and can also post a pic of the father so maybe someone can help determine his breed. I would love to know so I know what other breed the one years are besides half Brahma. They are very unique and beautiful because of the two different breed mixture. The roostes I call firechickens because of the colors. And the hens are very beautiful aswell. Some inherited mom's fluffy feet, some not etc. Very interesting looking!
