Hi! My name is Olivia. My daughter and I just started keeping chickens for the first time the end of March. We decided to get chickens because we are vegetarians, eat organic and wanted to know where our eggs were coming from (and stop supporting the horrible manufacturing industry). They have become much more to us. They are our pets and we love them! We have 12 chickens in our "Chicken Hilton" coop now and 18 in the incubator that are going to be hatching on Wednesday! We are so excited! It looks like we have 10 viable ones. We are also going to set some duck eggs on Monday so that is exciting too! I was a fan of the facebook page but decided to join here tonight! I look forward to getting to know some new friends!
