UFA in olds (and lots of other locations) carry bags of chick starter, chick grower, and layer ration for when they are up and going. Masterfeeds in Didsbury sell it too, although the Didsbury location is closing due to lack of business.

Hi! I just noticed you are from Didsbury, I'm looking into getting chickens too but I couldn't find anything on the towns website about chickens, where do you find that info? Thanks! And if anyone is reading this from Olds, Alberta, I can't find anything in writing either, any advice out there? TIA!!
 
Sorry, you got the wrong person, I am not from Didsbury...I live just south of Cochrane.
You might try going to the town office and asking about the bylaws there?
