hi all
i have 4 hens(2 rocks white and barred,1black star,and 1newhampshire red) but ordered 15 more last night. i'm just getting started in this. i have a ? though.all my girls are supposed to lay light brown eggs but someone lays the prettiest heavily spotted eggs (almost like a robin pattern). any ideas on which hen it might be or how to figure it out?

! Great to have you with us. The brown spots (just excess calcium) sure do make for some beautiful and unique eggs. If all your birds are of the same breed, I'm not sure if there is a way to tell who is laying the spotted eggs short of constant vigilance of them on the nest or, isolating them from each other to see which hens lays which egg. I kind of like the mystery! Good luck to you!
