I have been a chicken owner for a little while now and have finally settled in on my favorite breed. OH MAN. Are these ladies addicting. They have totally changed my life. I will never again live without a flock. So anywhoooo. I wanted to say hello and share with you all my beautiful girls!
I have two adult standard blue cochins.
This is Midsummer's Night AKA Middy. A very sweet and timid young hen. I just recently got from a lovely woman named Gina. She will be keeping my other blue company while we wait for the chicks to grow.
My Falafel showing off her rump. She is quit the sass! Lol I love her though. I want to breed her, but being in the city I can't have any roosters. One day!
And these are our new chicks! All standard cochins
The tall one in the back is a barred. The one to the left is silver laced. The middle front is a gold laced (I'm thinking of naming Hatshepsut). And the far right is a partridge. They are the cutest thingssss. I tried to get my older girls to adopt them with no luck. But I did get a picture of the attempt!
Poor middy isn't quite sure what to do! Silly girl.
Well those are my ladies and new little fluffies. Nice to meet you all and have a wonderful chicken filled day!
