Howdy howdy a Newbe here. Just getting back to raising chicks after a 50 year break. Hmm wonder if anything's changed since I was a kid.

Ahh....someone my age! Ha! A few things may have changed in this amount of time. Chicken feed has definitely improved, so has chicken health. Chickens probably live longer now, oh and of course BYC was invented.

Welcome to Backyard chickens. As far as I can tell chickens, still scratch and peck, eat and poop, though some new breeds have popped up. Every predator still wants to eat them.

You might want to check out the Learning Center, as a refresher course.
