1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

(3) What breeds do you have?
I have Light Brahma, Silver Lace Wyandotte, RR Reds, Jersey Giants, Blue Cochin, EEGs, a couple Buff Orpington, and of course Silkies.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Probably the Babies!! Fresh eggs.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Raising Mini Nigerian Dwarf Goats (mine only get 12 to 15 inches tall.) We also have milk goats, turkey’s, and 7 horses. 3 gardens.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We Havel 2 LGDs, 2 cattle dogs , 1 very old Plotting hound , and a min pin we inherited from my son. We are old and retired. We have over 40 grandkids.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D
By accident. Lol and it looks like a great group.

Below are some of my chickens. The night picture is just to show others that it doesn’t matter how nice your coop is A CHICKEN WILL ROOST WHERE IT WANTS. Lol The vulture with the white head is Bon Jovi.. Thanks for having me!

Your rooster is drop dead gorgeous!
You might want to consider training the chickens to come into the coop each night using meal worms. They will eventually get killed off if they stay out all night in the open like that. Brats!
