Hi there. I have ducks also! It has proven to be more challenging that I anticipated and I am a medically savvy girl. So she isn’t laying yet.... we have a mixed flick but we still feed either chick starter through 20weeks and then a layer pellet. It has the right amounts of proteins and calcium and whatnot that they need. Also they need plenty of water. Is it possible she is hot? Does she have a bumble? They can lead to discomfort and potentially infection and limit movement..... does her poop look normal. Does her skin look okay any mites or lice..... sorry just going down the list of simple thingS that come to my brain.

Sorry to hear about your duck.

She is near the laying age, so the possibility of an egg being stuck might need to be something that should be considered. What also concerns me is she is being fed corn, which does not fulfill her nutritional needs by the least, and could be a predisposing factor to becoming egg bound.

How does her abdomen feel, firm, soft, hard, Is she exhibiting any respiratory-related signs such as labored breathing, or tail bobbing? When did this start?
