Many folks seem to acquire their chicks or ducklings from feed stores or TSC (Tractor supply co.)- then there is no shipping charge.

Hi Jeni! ! Oh man, it sounds like that could have turned into a hoarder situation...all it takes is people with huge hearts who can't turn a creature in need away and it quickly gets out of hand. Thankfully, you were able to see when it became too much and don't do that anymore. I have a big heart too, but I have to keep from looking for rescues too. YAY for chooks now! Since you have a roo, soon you will have your own chicks!
