Welcome to BYC!!Hey there!
My name is Wendy, and I’m a first time chicken owner. I got 5 “Easter Egger pullets” that are reddish from tractor supply…one died so i was down to 4. Then, I got 2 more EEs from TS 2 weeks later. I have 4 reddish chickens (I have a feeling at least one may be a rooster) and 2 beautiful EEs…one being a gorgeous rooster that is crowing already. I need help, please…do any of these four look like roosters?
(1) I am new to chickens. Got my first ones 15 weeks ago. They stayed in my house for their first 11 weeks.
(2) I have a total of 6 chickens right now.
(3) Supposedly, they are all Easter Eggers
(4) My favorite aspect of raising backyard chickens is that they are relaxing to me. I do not eat eggs, but my husband does.
(5) Some of my other hobbies are riding my 2 horses and playing with my 3 Shelties.
(6) I am married to a wonderful man for going on 33 years. We have two children…a 29 year old son who just got married and an almost 21 year old daughter in college. I have 3 Shelties, one of whom is deaf. I am also blessed with 2 horses, one being a very sweet rescue. Due to some brain damage I got from falling off my very first horse, head first 12 years ago. (5 falls in 3 years, 1 fall including a broken back), I can no longer work at a paying job. So, I work for my animals. Lol
(7) Bonus: I found BYC through an internet search. I finally decided to join because I realized I need help.
