Hi! I’m new to this forum. My husband and I just moved from Idaho to Merlin, OR. We bought a house with a great chicken coop and I’ve been learning as much as I can about these creatures! Now I need to figure out the best place to purchase some!

Welcome it makes me happy that another chicken enthusiast joins BYC and share the wealth of knowledge here. Best place to buy chickens, depends on what you want to do. I prefer to buy from a NPIP flock and vaccinated but I live down the road from Meyer Hatchery . My neighbor bought his from a flea market. We both got eggs!

Have purchased chicks online twice, once from ideal and once from cackle. Both were excellent to work with but I think my favorite was Cackle.
