So I called my town to see how I go about getting a permit. First, I need to go through the zoning board. Then, I need to write a letter stating a method for storing and disposing waste and how/where will they winter over. I am going to use their waste for composting but is there a particular way I should winter my flock?

I have read a lot about dry composting, closing off drafts and sealing up cracks.
