Hello all!
Since our kids are grown, we have decided to raise chickens! We love animals, and would like a farm, but will settle with our indoor cats and soon to be outdoor chickens!
We have never tried this before, but have been reading like crazy! I never knew how popular this would be!!!
We also have a friend who raises chickens.
I am soooo excited to do this!
Our coup and run are built.
We currently have 6 pullets which we bought from Tractor supply. I think they would be hens??? WE did ask what brand they are, but the peolpe there at the time did not know. They are all just yellow, (thinking leghorns??) They are now about 4 weeks old. Have feathers all over except their heads. They do scare easily, but already know my voice!
Looking forward to watching them grow and lay!!!
I have already read posts here, and I feel the best place to get info is from those with the experience!!!!
