Yup, $25 a year. Have to also pay for a zoning permit ($50), but that's just once.Welcome to BYC from another Jerseyan, I'm curious, is there a permit fee?
Rent the Chicken provides you with newly laying hens, coop, feeders and feed, for about 7 months. At the end you can return them or "adopt" them.Welcome. I didn't know one could rent chickens. How does that work? Also, can you tell us about the "class" you have to take? Just curious.
Welcome to BYC!!Hi! I am getting 4 chickens later this month. My town requires a permit for chickens so I have to wait till the 14th to take a class then I can get them. I am renting chickens (the only way I could get my husband to agree to it). I have been reading and watching YouTube videos like crazy. Can't wait for my girls to arrive!!!
Unbelievable!! Is that along with the class or is there a fee for that also?Yup, $25 a year. Have to also pay for a zoning permit ($50), but that's just once.
