I was researching chicken farming on the internet and found this valuable forum. There is very valuable golden information here, thank you all.I love that experienced people give free information to new novices.

I have a small garden.I want to start and experience with 1 or 2 chickens or chicks. What would you recommend for me to start with, chick or chicken?

Hello and Welcome to BYC. Glad to have you here with us in this poultry loving community. If you have plenty of time to care for chicks I would start with them. They can be addicting opening the door for chicken Math. Grown chickens will take some time but not a lot to get to know you and can take care of themselves if you keep feed and water fresh for them. Make sure you have a predator proof coop and run and they both are several times bigger than what you think you will need. Beware of prefab built coops.

Thank you, I appreciate it. As you say, it makes sense to start with chicks. I think I will build a wooden coop or buy a steel cage, but I can keep the chicks in styrofoam at home.I'm thinking of buying an Australorp breed.
As far as I have learned, this breed is durable in cold weather and gentle and friendly in character and they do not feel stress while living in closed areas
