I am starting to hatch out some duck eggs and I have no idea as to what to do with them when they hatch. Are they alot like chickens or do they require special things

Hi there..

the incubation side of things is pretty much the same as chickens..Its when they hatch that the different requirements come into play. Ducks need more water than chickens so they can clean the beaks face and notrils. And they make a lot of mess with their water too. SOme ducklings dont always need a heat source for as long as chickens do- but it depends on the climate where you live. Also Ducklings need non medicated chick starter to eat...Good luck with your eggs. Hope you geta good hatch rate.
