HI Arden, I know plenty of people who raise chicks inside. I rescued my little runty "Blondie" when she was too little to get in out of the rain and got exposure. She was inside with us for about 3 weeks, peeping away in a cat cage. I was told that she would thrive on a high protein diet so I would catch her blow flies to eat with my son's butterfly net
