Hi! I finally bought a chicken!

Hello! I've been here off and on for years, but now it's real. I have a chicken, she laid 2 eggs, and i did it out of order. We're building her house

You really should have at least 3 chickens, they are flock animals and need the interaction with each other.

There was only one pullet. The others were 3 weeks old and if I'm not set up for a hen, im certainly not set up for heat lamps and all. Good to know she'll really want company.. I figured she'd like company over the winter. For now, she has people and a friendly rabbit. After we have a hen house (built for 4-5) we can talk about more than 1!
