They lived on a farm and the farmer had 60 egg-hens, and when they would stop laying he sold them "for the stew-pot." I believe they did have a good life there, but I'm glad to have them as friends rather than dinner! They both seem healthy. They were picked on by their rooster and missing all neck feathers, which are now mostly grown back. I adore them!Welcome to the forum!
How do they seem, health-wise? Are they battery hens or just older hens?
