Hi I,m new. chook pen jen.

Congratulations on the new roo and finding us from way down under.

I imagine it's nice and warm down there right now.

Hi all-

Marty1876 from East Central Kansas. I'm was a farmgirl, and have spent most of my life turning eggs in incubators, stuffing eggs under willing hens, gathering eggs, seperating sexes, and chasing ducks while avoiding unfriendly large fowl (like nesting geese, overbearing turkeys, and high flying peafowl).

I currently have ducks, turkey, and quail. In my incubator I have new bloodlines of Chocolate turkey and (always) more quail. I'd like some silkies to ease the incubations, though.

I live in a suburban setting in Lyon County KS with two acres and a historic house and barn built in 1876.

I have a long term husband, and daughters ages 6 and 12. We have also 3 cats, 2 dogs, and a pet partridge named Ralphie. (He rarely sits in the pear trees though)

Peace out, and poultry up, ya'll.

Marty
