I just wanted to say hi and tell you all how excited I am to finally have chickens!! I have been wanting them for years and have finally been able to convince the rest of the household to accept the fact that they make good pets. In addition to my 5 chickens I also have 6 cats and 3 dogs...so I am always cleaning up some kind of mess

.. I have so many questions, but as of right now I am having a bit of a chicken emergency so i am about to go and post in the emergency/illness board.

I don't know if I could handle that. I serve one cat, I couldn't handle 6 yelling at me all the time.

I have no idea what kind of chickens they are!! I dont even know if they are boys or girls..got them at the flea market. They are about 15 weeks old. I think one is a rooster but I cant be sure. There names are Loranna, Gus, Clara, Ethel, and Fred. I had one named Prissy but sadly she passed on the 12th of this month

. My cats names are Limbo, Squeakers, Andy, Kimba, Harpo, and Salem. The dogs are Jasper (my baby), Bella, and Piper. Whew!! Thats a mouthful!!!
