I'm glad you joined us!

I've raised a couple large fowl Wyandottes in the past, and currently raise Wyandotte bantams. Both large fowl and bantams are hardy birds that can withstand rather hot and very cold temperatures. They have had few problems with disease, though mine have been somewhat prone to getting mites. In my experience, Wyandottes usually hold dominant positions in the flock, but aren't particularly mean. They are docile and gentle with humans. My bantams aren't the greatest layers (production has likely been bred out of them, with more focus on show), but my large fowl were excellent layers of 250+ eggs per year. Overall, I highly recommend Wyandottes.
