Hi everyone. I'm a new member from Southern Ontario. My husband and I just bought our first country property, 3 acres of agricultural land which used to be a dairy farm long ago. The house is about 100 years old and came with a brick chicken barn (also about the same age, I would say) which we are going to fix up.
We did not plan on having any chickens until next spring, but the lady who owned this place before us left behind some chickens she didn't want (along with a colony of farm bunnies gone feral!). We have 3 noisy roosters, a bantam hen and 2 chicks, and a broody hen which we think is sitting on rotten eggs. (I posted about this in the hatching and incubating forum.)
I'm looking forward to posting more here in the future as we grow our flock. I'm sure I will have tonnes of questions.
