I am also a newby with chickens and I'd never trade them for the world! They are the utmost charachterized sensitive creatures alive. And boy how smart they are, I've taught them quite a bit. We're still going through highest in command, they're still young. I must say that I am trying my darndest to continuously keep my 5 standard roosters and boy are they a hand full especially my wyandotte. Beads is a bad boy but, we're working with him. Might any of you older chicken keepers have any suggestions with hopes that I will not part with any. By the way I own 8 silkies in which I love dearly, they're beautiful and my hen Harmony does crow believe it or not. My bantam cochins are doing quite well also. How about those tiniest BBR's.
