I had four 1day old baby RB chicks down to 3 now and almost 2 months old.
I have them in a truck cap and a truck bed liner on the bottom. I've been fencing them in away from my chickens that are free range. My problem is moving that cap and the chicken wire fence every two days?
My thinking was to buy a Premier Poultry Net ele fence. The one problem I have is they only come 48" tall and these young rb are already trying to fly. I have some snow fencing over the top of the chicken wire fence to keep them from trying to fly the coop.
I have lost some chickens to fox, raccoons other critters found here in Vermont.
Any ideas out there about what I should try before I go out and spend $$$ for a 100' Premier fence. N if I get their fence that is 48" high by 100' should I clip some wing feathers?

great story about the RB posse
