(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? They are so fun to watch, they keep the bugs down, and they give us eggs.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. My husband and I have 4 kids, 1 daughter in law, and 1 beautiful granddaughter. Our youngest son is a chicken enthusiast as well and it is fun to share this hobby with him.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D. Through Google, My son got an incubator for Christmas, so we are new to incubating eggs, so many new things to learn. This is the perfect place to learn. The threads are full of knowledgeable people. Looking forward to learning and eventually passing my knowledge on, too.

Welcome! I see that we both have Australorps, Buff Orpingtons, Cinnamon Queens, and Easter Eggers in common. My Easter Egger and Cinnamon Queens don't care to be held. However, the Australorps and the Buff Orpington don't mind being held at all. Though I will say that all of the girls and my one boy provide much enjoyment. :)

Yes, so much enjoyment! Our rooster is an australorp and he is such a good protector of his ladies and such a gentleman to his humans 🥰
