Welcome back Linda  Do your birds have any protection like a contained run to protect them from the predators? All the losses have to be difficult.


It is crushing, especially when you raise them from chicks. Our birds are free range during the day and usually go into fen ed garden area at night. The owl came in around 2 a.m. from the top of the garden, which isn't covered. Our yard is fenced but coyotes made it through the gate before and, of course, hawks flew in.

Hi Linda! Welcome back. So sorry for the losses. Hope the future is much better for you. Maybe some netting in an area would help with the losses from above? Once predators find an easy meal they tend to keep coming back. Good luck!
