Hi, I'm Hannah and i need help!

Hello, Hannah, and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
Why do you want to raise just one chick and then give it to your grandmother? Does your grandmother have chickens?
As has been mentioned multiple times, chickens must be kept in flocks to be truly happy so just raising a lone chick is not a good idea at all and not very fair to the poor chick. Maybe if we find out why you want to raise a chick and give it to your grandmother, we can help find a more reasonable alternative!
Thank u for your input. My grandma does have two chickens and she might want two more so I'm most likely getting a pair. I've looked into it and it will be in a large dog kennel/cage.that way it has room. I will also bring it outside regularly. I'm planning on getting silkies. Also I am looking into diapers for the indoor portion of their lives. My dad is also almost convinced 100%!!!!!!!

Read into silkies first, they are a lot of care and can develop problems, if you want them for eggs then they aren't a great choice, if you want them because they are cute, or fluffy, just remember chickens aren't trophies and if you want something more sturdy you should look into different breeds. good luck!
