I think 5 of my hens MAY be Catalans-I know the breed list says they are rare, but they may have been brought in from south of the border-a coworker's husband got them for me at a swapmeet. We are not set up for very young chicke & it's hard to get a hold of pullets here. I am hoping I can post pics here from my phone so y'all can tell me what you thinks.
The chicks are older ones not sold at the local feed store-two production reds and a black star.
The sixth adult hen is a black star with two spurs, & one of the suspected Catalan hens has only one spur! They all live happily in a very large sideyard-the chicks are only out while supervised.
