I use my gardening organic skills to look after my chickens by growing garlic and much more I feed it to my chickens by slicing it up the red mites hate it the taste of garlic blood makes them drop off ! Also by growing lavender when I had mice which knicked the chickens feathers at night 😡 And eat there food I put lavender in the coop mice hate it ,plus the smell calms the chickens giving them relaxing moments to sleep just like us humans ,giving you a chilled out chicken 🐔you can also massage your chickens in lavender oil red mites hate it ! I also grow beetroot chard grapes lots of greens lettuce cabbage Brussels , the chickens love the leaves ! include grass by doing this cuts down on feed gives you better eggs full of vitamins ! The number one best food in the world ! Here is a few photos of myself with organic cup and chickens blue bell who was the foster mum who raised her into a now fully grown Essex chicken! which I call omelette 🍳good health happy new year to all of you over the world

Welcome to Backyard Chickens. What great findings. Nice you joined us..

As a fair-to-middling gardener, I admire your gardening acumen and that you've found natural methods of caring for your chickens. Congrats on the organic cup, and thanks for sharing photos.

I did go back and look at the photos a second time to make sure I was remembering right. How does a great gardener in England become an LA Lakers fan? :)
