Arizona Chickens

I've decided to let 3 of the Silver Leghorn pullet's from my August hatch go if someone want's them. I will take ten dollars each for them. The females have the salmon colored breast in these. The 3rd one was too far away to get into the picture.

My tanks are full again <3 (I need bigger tanks probably) and my one and only (for now) storm water basin has been kept full - I dug it myself so it's a bit of a slow progress, but happy to see it being useful already! We're having steady rain here since yesterday night. Feels very autumnal!

@BlueBaby Those are sweet pullets, but my coop won't be ready for probably another month or two. That being said I'll keep an eye on what you have available in the upcoming months, for sure - Emma mentioned she got some hens from you :)
What breeds are you planning to hatch over the winter and spring? Do you sell them as chicks too? (I have been fancying the idea of getting them younger so they get more used to me - last time I had chickens, before I moved across states, I got them as pullets and while they rapidly got used to me, it's not like they were seeking me out either)

Right now I am currently working with the different colored Leghorn's only that I got hatching egg's shipped to me from different breeders. I'm not doing the white ones though. I kept 4 of the Brown Leghorns, but I'll mostly be working on the Blue Gold Duckwing Leghorn's.

If you are looking for lap chicken's, the Leghorn's won't be up your alley. They are skittish, but will lay nice sized white egg's.

Okies, I'll keep an eye out for what you may have in a few months then :)

And I am not necessarily looking for lap chickens per se, but a chicken I don't have to corner to get a hold of would be great!
My previous hens were not afraid of me but were not into being held and having to handle them during the day would invariably turn into a stressful chase for all involved. When I was a kid, I had a hen I raised from chick. She was free ranging and leaving her outside life without me, but would come if called or seeing a treat, and wouldn't bat an eye if I reached out for her -> that level of comfort between us was nice and is what I'm looking for. She also did like to be petted, but that I can live without, if that's not a leghorn' trait! But I thought looking for chicks would get me good results, in that regard :)

After I go through the weeding out of what I don't want to keep for myself, in the future I am planning on only selling hatching egg's, but not chick's. Raising the chick's myself is too time consuming. It takes 20 day's of incubation, then getting them to start eating feed and drinking water after they do hatch, and cleaning up any poopy butts. Then it takes time to grow them a bit to be able to tell the boys from the girls. I am tired of having to cull so many boy's, because people don't want them. Plus, I'm getting too old for all of that.

That makes sense!
Thank you for understanding. I like the Leghorn's because they have the large single comb better for our summer heat, plus they lay egg's well. I didn't want the white one's though, and was amazed they there were so many feather colors of them other then just white or the brown. Since they are skittish, and don't tend to go broody, I figure that will make it easier on me when collecting egg's when they start laying.

Geez, those poor people in Globe are dealing with flash floods again. The town was built in a floodway before they knew it was a floodway. There's also a burn scar above them so there's nothing to stop the water from pouring down the mountains. There are quite a few historic buildings in Globe that are 100+ years old.

I was considering camping near Pinal Peak next week. That's about ten miles south of Globe so I think it'll have to wait for another time.
