Welcome to BackYard Chickens! We're happy to have you here! I agree with the benefits that raising chickens provide. I have Autism and they've helped me calm down when I'm stressed. I think they're a great way to teach responsibility to the youngers as they are cheaper and easier to raise than a dog.
